It’s that time of year again when time flies because we’re all having so much fun… or perhaps we’re just super busy. Either way, I think we can all agree that the month of December is a little extra special for us Floridians. While most of the rest of the country is dusting off their Winter wear, we’re just over here enjoying average temps of 75 degrees, our “Florida Summer” if you will. Lately, the weather seems to be ever in our favor and I sure hope this continues as there are plenty of events, festive and otherwise, to look forward to in the coming weeks. Here is a list of St. Pete December events that I think are worth highlighting:
Over the years, Vietnamese has become my favorite of the Asian cuisines. This is in large part due to my affinity for soup. To me, there is nothing more comforting that a giant bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup. Lucky for us St. Petians, there are PLENTY of Vietnamese restaurants that are cooking up some phenomenal authentic dishes. If you’re looking for more of a traditional place where you’re likely to be among the minority, head to Pinellas Park, where there is a large Asian population. If you prefer a more upscale atmosphere? Central Ave. is the spot. With so many to choose from, I’m sharing my list of the best Vietnamese restaurants in St. Petersburg, FL.
It’s no secret that there are an overwhelming amount of St. Petersburg restaurants to choose from to satisfy those pre-lunch time hunger pangs. We all want the same thing: food that is both delicious + quick because let’s face it, we’re all busy people. So I’ve put together a list of my favorite quickest lunch spots downtown St. Pete (or in the surrounding area) that won’t take all day.
The Saturday Morning Market has become sort of an institution in St. Pete. Thousands of people come out every Saturday to visit their favorite vendors who set up shop at the weekly market. It’s become one of the largest outdoor markets in the country that operates year round (in the summer months, the market moves a few blocks away to the more shaded area of Williams Park).
If you live in St. Pete or the surrounding area and have social media you must have heard about Shine On, the week long St. Pete Mural Festival that took over our city a couple weeks ago. We had some seriously talented artists from all over the world come and put their creative touch on what were originally blank walls. All of the St. Pete murals look amazing but of course you are bound to have a few favorites so I wanted to share a few of mine with you!
